Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY: The SVSU Department of Music seeks an applicant to teach a studio of voice students. There may be opportunities to teach other courses in the candidate’s area of expertise as needed. Candidates with a wide variety of vocal experience (e.g. classical, choral, musical theatre, commercial, jazz) are encouraged to apply.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s Degree in voice performance or related field
  • Experience and ability to positively interact with all members of the campus community
  • Ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodations.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with college-level voice instruction
  • Experience in teaching a wide variety of styles

WORKING ENVIRONMENT & EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS:

  • Duties are generally performed inside and not exposed to adverse conditions.
  • All work associated with this role must be performed within the state of Michigan.
