The Electronic Health Record (EHR) Application Analyst provides expertise in EHR and related software applications. They are responsible for supporting the utilization, maintenance, and continuous improvement of EHR systems and related software applications.
Compensation Range:
The starting pay for this position is $20.40 - $24.00 hourly rate, and is based on non-discriminatory factors such as skills and experience.

- Identify, investigate, and resolve escalated user problems with the EHR system and related software applications.
- Collaborate with department leadership and other internal staff in addition to external vendors to support the coordination and deployment of enhancements to the EHR system and related software applications.
- Identify and implement solutions to improve health record process efficiencies.
- Support the successful health information exchange (HIE) process between agency and external systems including identifying, diagnosing, and assisting with the resolution of data discrepancies with the agency’s EHR systems and partnered systems.
- Field escalated support tickets, calls, chats, emails, and/or other communication from users relating to the EHR system and related software applications.
- Provide end user support including training on the EHR system and related software applications onsite and remotely.
- Maintains up to date EHR staff profiles, fee schedules, codes, and access rights for the agency.
- Document all procedures, processes, and measuring performance of systems.
- Provide regular updates on assigned projects, tasks, and the resolution of technical issues.
- Maintain knowledge of technology innovations and trends.
- Assist with special projects as assigned.
- Ensure that the CNS Healthcare standards of service are applied to interactions with individuals served, guests, and staff.
- Participate in and promote departmental and agency quality improvement initiatives.
- Assume responsibility for professional growth by current reading and attendance at educational programs and conferences.
- Maintain knowledge and compliance with established policies and procedures, corporate compliance program, code of ethics, applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, HIPAA standards, and other regulatory programs.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum three years of experience working with electronic health record systems
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn an array of computer hardware and software
- Prior experience in coordinating projects.
- Proficient with computers and Microsoft office products including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Ability to explain technical issues to technical and non-technical internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to use discretion and judgment when handling matters of a sensitive or confidential nature.
- Ability to communicate effectively, collaborate, and build positive working relationships.
- Ability to analyze information, research issues, pay attention to detail, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to contribute to an inclusive environment that recognizes the value and contributions of all persons regardless of race, ethnicity, national origin, gender, religion, age, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or disability.
- Valid and unrestricted Michigan Driver’s License
- Reliable transportation and current proof of auto insurance
Preferred
- Associate degree in healthcare, business, computer science, information systems, or related area of study
- Four or more years of experience working with electronic health record systems
- Technical proficiency and problem-solving skills related to: IT infrastructure; IT support and troubleshooting; electronic health record (EHR) systems; cloud-based environments; and IT applications.
- Prior experience in a healthcare setting, preferably behavioral health and/or community mental health settings.
