DESCRIPTION:
The IT Technician is responsible for on-site, in-house, and remote technical service support, installation, configuration, and incident resolution in the Endpoint Devices (including, but not limited to PC, Laptops, tablets, Phones, Printers, et.) device environments based on team assignment.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides technical support to customers on operational or maintenance aspects of system equipment.
- Diagnoses hardware, software, mechanical and systems failures, using established procedures.
- Provide technical assistance to local or system projects and technical staff as needed.
- Identifies and appropriately escalates system hardware, software or build issues for quality assurance and system stability.
- Provides excellent customer service by keeping customers fully informed of the status of their incident.
- Expected to support local or system initiatives and critical projects upon request.
- Knowledge of Henry Ford Health locations preferred.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent, required. Associates Degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or technical school completion certificate, desired.
- One (1) year minimum of technical or customer facing service experience, required.
- Good oral and written communication skills, required.
- One (1) year End user device experience, desired.
- One (1) year working in a HealthCare related field, desired.
- Knowledge of Windows Operating systems, Microsoft Office, MacOS, IOS and common application support, desired.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
- Technical Certifications (A Certified, HP Certified, Microsoft), desired. ITIL Certified, desired.
