GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Project Coordinator provides organizational, administrative, and logistical support for projects that improve operational performance and patient experience across Henry Ford Health. Working under supervision, the Coordinator assists project teams with scheduling, tracking deliverables, and maintaining documentation to ensure projects are executed efficiently and within scope. This role serves as an entry point into healthcare project management, focused on developing core skills in organization, data tracking, communication, and adherence to structured project management processes.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Organizes and coordinates project schedules, meetings, and communication among stakeholders.
2. Tracks project timelines, deliverables, and dependencies using standardized tools and templates.
3. Maintains accurate documentation, including agendas, meeting notes, task logs, and status reports.
4. Assists with data collection, progress reporting, and performance tracking to support project milestones.
5. Supports quality control processes and ensures consistency in documentation across initiatives.
6. Escalates barriers, risks, and issues to project leads in a timely and structured manner.
7. Prepares visual summaries and communication materials to support leadership reporting.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Associates degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Public Health, Industrial Engineering, or a related field required.
- One (1) year of project coordination or operational support experience preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and attention-to-detail skills required. Experience with Microsoft Office and project tracking tools preferred.
