Department: Float Pool

Schedule: 36hrs/wk, 8hr Day Shift, 7:00am-3:30pm

Performs administrative and clerical duties in support of an assigned clinical area.

  • Greets patients, visitors, and new admissions.
  • Answers general inquiries and schedules patients for appointments. Answers, screens, and routes telephone calls.
  • Performs general clerical duties including filing, email correspondence, and mail distribution.
  • Creates various reports and documents as assigned.
  • Helps patients/residents with basic technology and social media.
  • Communicates with patients, families, physicians and other healthcare team members about patient care.
  • Performs unit safety checks. Assists with meeting patient needs and escalates as appropriate.
  • May assist with meals, pass and collect trays, pass out activities, and transport patients/residents through facility.
  • May assist with stocking supplies and keeping unit and patient rooms clean and orderly.
  • May maintain staff schedules and timekeeping as assigned
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
  • Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
  • Preferred use of administrative skills in a hospital setting
